Wage a war on weeds and provide an army of support for your local nature center! Community service credit is available. Bring water and a snack. This activity is recommended for adults and teens comfortable with strenuous outdoor activities.
Join Team Greenbelt in our efforts to help catalog current neighborhood street trees and assess the health of our urban forest. Monitoring sessions will be held on select Sunday and Tuesday mornings throughout the summer. We will meet on-site in the neighborhoods of Richmond and Oakwood. Children must be age 13 and older. This It’s My Park season, please join the Friends of Kivlehan Park as they work to beautify and maintain the Superstorm Sandy Memorial Garden. Volunteers will help weed and spread woodchips within the garden areas and help clean up garbage and debris throughout the park.
Help us maintain the beauty of Westerleigh Park by raking, planting, or gardening. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut while getting great exercise. We are there every Saturday morning.
