There are many volunteer opportunities at our events for members of the community. Along with our Playspace Activity Leader volunteers, Horizons for Homeless Children is always looking for help with administrative work, mailings, and special events.
No previous construction skills are expected. Our skilled site supervisors and construction staff will provide the necessary tools, training, and safety information on site.
The ReStore sells donated furniture, appliances, and home improvement items to the public at low-cost. Proceeds help fund the construction of Habitat homes. Volunteers at the ReStore will help process donations, move merchandise, greet and assist customers, clean, repair and refurbish donations along with a variety of other tasks.
Volunteers for FACETS will assist by overseeing open computer lab sessions for adults. Volunteers will support residents using the lab to develop basic computer literacy skills, conducting job searches, creating resumes, furthering education, and managing other life responsibilities.
Literacy Volunteer and Advocates tutors work with their learners to improve literacy based on individual goals. Montgomery Parks provides a Tennis and Lacrosse Camp program for the public during the Summer and selected holidays.
