Time.
Everyone has the same 24 hours a day, 168 hours a week.
Some people make the most of those hours.
Most people don’t.
But time is everything. It’s our most precious resource. Every minute of every day is an opportunity to make our lives and the lives of those around us better.
So why are people so willing to waste it?
I recently saw a Time Warner Cable commercial promoting a new initiative:
“The Guaranteed One-Hour Appointment Window”
Someone at TWC figured out it would be a good idea to give customers a specific time for their service visits instead of forcing them to sit home all day waiting for the guy to MAYBE show up.
Go figure!
I applaud TWC for doing this. Seriously, I do.
This is a great step forward.
Over the last few years Areena has been approached by many people asking if they could donate money to our organization. We’ve always said no. Why? We don’t want people’s money. We want their time!
You only get so many hours on this earth. (And if you’re a Time Warner customer you just got a few more.) Today I’m writing to remind you how much good you can do with those hours. Don’t allow anyone to waste a single one.
