The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People has saved thousands of animals through facilitating pet adoptions and teaching responsible pet ownership at our no kill pet shelter in Tyler, Texas. They currently need volunteers in the following areas:
- TLC – Socializing and walking animals housed at the animal shelter
- PetEd – Provide humane education – kindergarten to 4th grade students and other organizations.
- Compassion Connection – Pet therapy with “Therapy Certified” owned pets at nursing homes.
- Exhibits/Special Events – Participate in various community events to spread the message about The Humane Society’sPets Fur People and our volunteer opportunities.
- Distribute Pets Fur People literature
- Volunteers are needed for annual fundraisers such as Festival of Trees, Pets in the park, and other events.
- Administrative Support – Clerical, filing, and computer assistance.
