Animal Humane New Mexico

Animal Humane New Mexico is the leading private animal welfare organization serving cats, dogs and their families. From our main location in Albuquerque, we partner with shelters across the state to rescue homeless pets. As a volunteer, the options are quite numerous and available for those of all ages.

New Mexico Animal Friends

New Mexico Animal Friends is in the business of helping and advocating for animals. Give a little of your time to make large impact on animals in Albuquerque. Volunteers will be expected to work hands-on as a foster parent, helping to staff monthly feral cat spay/neuter clinic, office work, and more.

Rio Grande Food Project

The Rio Grande Food Project is in the fight to end hunger in New Mexico. To contribute, volunteers will be asked to drive, perform data entry, restock shelves, organize food drives, prepare food boxes, repackage food, perform clerical tasks, and work on community garden.

The Storehouse

The Storehouse is a food pantry in Albuquerque dedicated to ending hunger. The organization invites congregations of all faiths to support the initiative. If one decides to volunteer, just know that you should come prepared to work!

Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico

Roadrunner Food Bank of Mexico is an organization determined to end hunger in New Mexico. There are several volunteer programs at Roadrunner Food Bank which can be classified as Warehouse-based volunteering and a new volunteer track known as Skill-based volunteering. Skill-based volunteering encompass everything outside Warehouse essentially.

The Jewish Federation of Volusia/Flagler Counties

The Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties is the community-building organization of their local Jewish community. The Food Bank helps people regardless of religion or race — and 98 percent of the people receiving aid do not have Jewish background. Volunteers are always welcome and needed to help with food drives and more.

Score of Volusia/Flagler Counties

The Volusia/Flagler chapter of Score is an organization aimed at helping small businesses by providing business counseling, mentoring, and coaching to existing and emerging businesses in both Volusia and Flagler counties. As a volunteer, one will be expected to lead seminars and workshops, serve in a leadership capacity with Score, and build your network.

Great Oak Youth Development Centers is an organization aimed at providing guidance to at-risk youth. The organization does so through a variety of programs including an after school program, seminars, and active mentoring. Volunteers will be asked to assist by mentoring, working on administrative tasks, preparing food, and more.
