Habitat for Humanity works to achieve a community where all people have an affordable place to call home and advocate on behalf of those who need safe, decent shelter. The Construction Department is hard at work making affordable home ownership a reality. You can join a crew, or recruit one, and pick up some valuable building skills in the process. You don’t have to wield a hammer to make a dent in poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte has lots of non-construction related volunteer opportunities as well.
