East Texas Crisis Center

With help from supporters throughout the community, the East Texas Crisis Center has provided counseling for victims of family violence and sexual assault since 1978. Programs emphasize both prevention and intervention. Volunteer opportunities with ETCC include:

  • Peer Counselors
  • Children’s Services volunteers (Mentors)
  • Hotline Counselors
  • Flamingos resale store
  • On-Call Advocates
  • Special Services volunteers
  • Office Assistants
  • Special Events volunteers
  • Violence Intervention Network volunteers (data entry, letter-writing, and filing)
  • Transportation volunteers
  • Youth Service Opportunities

ETCC requires any volunteers and staff who will have direct contact with clients to complete a 40+ hour training program. Training is held twice a year and is usually completed over a two month time frame. Reach out to find out more about how to get involved!
