Beacon of Hope House operates residences for approximately 440 individuals in Staten Island and the Bronx and an employment clubhouse for the mentally ill. Residents may live in three areas of housing. 1. Congregate 2. Apartment Treatment and 3. Supported Housing. For many residents in apartment treatment and supported housing, this may be their first time in their own apartment and/or living independently. Help us give dignity to these residents by leading a cooking class.
Volunteer must be patient and confortable working with this adult population. Catholic Charities will supply all items needed.
